Whomp
$99.00
Whomp was inspired by the work of Alf Becker, a master of sign painting and alphabet manipulation. In 1932, Becker began designing a series of alphabets for Signs of the Times magazine (one alphabet per month). Nine years later, 100 of those alphabets were compiled in one book.
The particular alphabet that inspired Whomp was incomplete. Ale drew, digitized, restructured, and built a complete typeface from that partial alphabet. More than 100 alternates are included, plus tons of swashy endings and ligatures.
