With Tiva, Laura wanted to give “the impression of handwriting with the refinement of hand lettering.” To achieve this, she kept some of the quirks and the naturally occurring variations in handwriting, like letters that drop slightly below or above the baseline. Sixty alternates are included, as well as several automatic letter combinations, “with particular attention to double letter pairs like oo or ee.”
