Schooner Script

There’s an antique barn near Brian Willson’s home, and one day he mentioned to the proprietor that he’d be interested in any old typewriters she came across. They were chatting for a while, then the owner disappeared and reemerged with an old, three-page handwritten letter, dated September 18, 1825. The letter was written by a Princeton, Massachusetts pastor named Samuel Clarke, who was seeking donations for the victims of an accident at sea. “I thought his script unique, stylistic, and definitely something worth digitizing, so I bought the old letter and took it home. I had to come up with several uppercase characters to round out the set, but the results seem good and proper.”
