Mince stretches the human mind‘s capacity to grasp order and establish meaning by inflating font forms to the limits of comprehension. The roundness was designed to look as though it suffered from over-inking. On their own, the characters are abstracted to the furthest point of legibility, but when viewed as a word, the pattern becomes clear and the viewer‘s brain is able to make sense of it.
