Like its sibling Anago, Macha is different from Neil‘s other sans serifs. Its no-nonsense construction is influenced by Gill Sans and Frutiger, but with a humanist touch. Neil‘s focus when developing Macha was to just “get to the point with each letterform and discard the rest.”
The character set includes small caps, fractions, ordinals, stylistic alternates, ligatures, a range of numerals, and more.
